It was a fun weekend, got to check out the Spring Summer10 Alexander Wang collection at Barneys New York in Chicago. He talked about the collection and the upcoming mens line which will launch in January, super humble person gave me advice on my career. Can't wait to shop the mens collection. Wish I had taken pictures of the collection, but the SAs were kinda intimidating, the shoes were that much more amazing in person. By the way don't mind how terrible I look. He also took pictures with my sister and friend.

Things you need: Leopard! Leopard! Leopard!

Isabel Marant FW09
Yves Saint Laurent
Without a doubt you've seen the leopard trend being thrown your way by glossy magazines or various retailers. So believe it! the print isn't something that demands to be dressed up it can be worn casually, throw on a pair of jeans and a simple t shirt. If you'd rather show a hint of leopard throw a scarf on. The great thing about the trend is that its not really a trend its more of a classic item you keep and wear over and over. Go with your budget, from Zara to Yves Saint Laurent you'll be able to find something you like.

opposites

I love the use of color in the editorial from whowhatwear.com. Essentialy it's a simple outfit jeans, oxfords, button down. For many however it can be daunting even at this time of the year to pile on the layers of clothes and end up looking that chic. It's really about mixing neutral colors and basics and using color in the accessories to create a vibrant look for this time of the year when everything is so dark. On the other hand a monochromatic outfit can have a great effect also. The first look is all black, yet each piece has unique details, from the skirt to the season's strong shoulders. These are two great examples of how color or no color can look great.
